Reason's June issue, again.

Courtesy of the LU list: the L.A.Times' May 18 story about the June issue of Reason magazine. My copy hasn't arrived yet, natch....

When your issue arrives, I'd like to know what you think of the database article. It's not at all what I was expecting....

(am I building the suspense?)

Yes, but it can't build up much further, since the magazine finally arrived.

Did they get your address right? Do you have a scanner? :)

Yes, and yes. I'll see what I can do about that later this weekend. The only customized content I saw was on the front-and-rear wraparound cover, and most of it came from the Census or from readily available governmental information (such as representatives' names and voting records.) The fact that they were able to print them and deliver individualized issues is more impressive than the content -- and I somehow doubt that many publishers will spend extra money to produce customized print copies when they can, theoretically, do the same thing with electronic "subscriptions" at far less cost.

The McCullough article was more upbeat than I expected.
